Journey to Hope is a free conference for caregivers to learn about the diagnosis and treatment of memory loss, as well as tips for managing Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders. It is aimed at caregivers, individuals with cognitive disorders, healthcare professionals, and students in related fields. Organizers and speakers will discuss critical issues related to prevention, management, and treatment of symptoms.
The main goal of the event is to emphasize the role of caregivers of patients with dementia. Caregivers, often family members, are usually unprepared for this difficult role. Recognizing and alleviating the burden of caregivers is essential for effectively managing dementia.
Participants will have a unique opportunity to participate in an open forum, ask questions to experts, and hear the experiences of caregivers of individuals with dementia. Additionally, honorary distinctions will be awarded to caregivers of individuals with dementia during the event.
Finally, new research collaborations between stakeholders participating in the Greek Initiative Against Alzheimer’s will be announced, as well as the establishment of new research units and precision medicine infrastructure.
