CORFU. “The Corfu International Festival” in collaboration with the Municipal Gallery of Central Corfu and the Ionian Islands presents Cacao Rocks and Giorgos Megoulas in an artistic dialogue of painting and sculpture.

Cacao Rocks, also known as Iasonas Megoulas, is one of the pioneering street artists in Greece. He began his activity at the age of 14, creating his first large mural for Greenpeace in a public space in Corfu.

His distinctive “style” combines modern Greek painting with the technique of street art, making his work known in many countries. His pieces have been featured in museum spaces and galleries, and he has collaborated with major international brands. His artworks are also part of significant private collections worldwide.

This will be the first time he presents a comprehensive series of his paintings and ceramics on the island where he grew up, Corfu.

Giorgos Megoulas, one of the most prominent Greek sculptors of his generation, is considered a pioneer of constructivism and one of the last virtuosos of classical sculpture.

He studied at the School of Fine Arts in Paris and apprenticed with renowned sculptors of his time. He has created dozens of monuments in public spaces in Greece, and his works have been exhibited in Europe and America.

For his achievements, he has received numerous awards, including the prestigious “Chevalier des Lettres et des Arts” distinction from the French government in 1995.
