FEK Band Easter Concert @ Corfu Municipal Theatre
On April 8, 2023, Saturday of Lazarus, the band of the Philharmonic Society of Corfu for one more year marks the beginning of the Corfu Easter season with its years-established concert.
A special element of the concert is the collaboration of the “Palaia” band with the brass ensemble of the State Orchestra of Athens “METALLON”, consisting of: Yiannis Karabetsos (trumpet), Panagiotis Balamos (trumpet), Kostas Sisco (horn), Kostas Avgerinos (trombone), and Giorgos Rarakos (tumba). The two musical ensembles will perform for the first time in Corfu the demanding “Suite” from the famous “Work” composed by L. Bernstein in 1971.
The established concert of the “Old” Philharmonic band on April 8, 2023 under the direction of chief musician Spyros Prosoparis will take place at the Municipal Theater of Corfu starting at 20:30.
General admission: 5 Euro.
