Dec 2023The AHEPA Corfu presents an evening of charity and love with Stefanos Korkolis and Sofia Manousaki at the Corfu Municipal Theater on Tuesday, December 5, 2023.
Participating in the event are the Philharmonic Orchestra of Gastouri “Omonia” and choirs from Corfu.
The event aims to support the purchase of equipment for the Neonatology Department at the General Hospital of Corfu.

This initiative by the AHEPA Corfu chapter continues to contribute to the local community through high-level activities, supporting organizations and institutions on the island. In collaboration with the hospital’s administrator, Mrs. Englezopoulou, the AHEPA Corfu chapter is assisting in equipping the Neonatology unit of the hospital by organizing a significant artistic event.
One of the top musicians of the younger generation, Stefanos Korkolis, and the singer Sofia Manousaki will be accompanied by the Philharmonic Orchestra “Omonia” of Gastouri, the municipal choir SanGiacomo, school choirs from the music high school, the 4th high school, and the children’s choir “Ta Hamogela Tou Mon Repo.” They will present a retrospective performance of the composer’s artistic journey, including classical works and his major hits performed by Korkolis and other notable artists such as Dimitris Mitropanos, Antonis Remos, Sakis Rouvas, Konstantina Mando, and more.
The event, supported by the Ministry of Health, will take place on Tuesday, December 5, at 20:30 at the Corfu Municipal Theater. Dignitaries expected to attend include the Supreme President of AHEPA from the United States, Savvas Tsivikos, representatives from the Greek Government and the Ministry of Health, as well as officials from the 6th Health Region to which Corfu belongs.
Musical preparation for the SanGiacomo municipal choir is done by conductor Antony Ivanof, Elly Karidi handles the music high school choir, Nikos Dimitropoulos prepared the 4th high school choir, and Agathi Koskina is responsible for the children’s choir “Ta Hamogela Tou Mon Repo.” The event will be directed by the experienced chief conductor of the Philharmonic “Omonia,” Spyros Rallis, and organized by the Deputy Governor of AHEPA Greece, Nikos Dimitropoulos.
