The upcoming scientific conference of the Corfu Studies Society is dedicated to the distinguished poets Nano Valaoritis and Hector Kacanavatos and will take place at the Solomos Museum on November 8, 9, and 10, 2024. This is one of the most significant events organized by the Society over the past 15 years.
Program:
- Friday, November 8, 2024:
- 5:00 PM: Registration for participants and attendees.
- 5:30 PM: Presentations by George Kentrouti, Alexis S. Ziras, Ioanna Naoum, and Vasilis Letsios.
- 7:00 PM: Round table discussion on the topic “In the constellation of Greek Surrealism.”
- Saturday, November 9, 2024:
- 10:00 AM: Presentations by Konstantinos Lindovoyis, Anna Abatzoglou, Meropi Katarachia, Michail S. Kalavrou, and George Kalogirou.
- 11:45 AM: Continued sessions with participation from other researchers.
- 5:45 PM: Presentations followed by a musical interlude themed “Mythology in Music.”
- Sunday, November 10, 2024:
- 10:00 AM: Final session with presentations from various participants.
- 1:00 PM: Conclusions of the conference.
Admission is free, and the conference is expected to be a significant event for the cultural life of Corfu, promoting the study and recognition of the works of Valaoritis and Kacanavatos.
