The scenery on the beach of Apraos or Kalamaki, by which name it is also known, is as follows: – a golden sandy beach with translucent, crystal clear waters and tranquility. Next to the most popular areas of the North of Corfu, Kassiopi and Acharavi, you will find a quiet beach, ideal for family getaways.

Apraos or Kalamaki is a beach with endless sandy beach with white sand and calm, crystalline and shallow waters, elements that give it the characteristics of an ideal beach for family vacations for those with younger children. From there may have originated its initial name, Apraos, inspired by the gentleness; the calmness of the sea that tempers the wave. It also has all the elements of an organized beach, such as sunbeds, umbrellas, the possibility of water sports, as well as basic infrastructure i.e. accommodation and food outlets.

The distance from the centre of Corfu is 45 km by way of a scenic, coastal route above the lacy and verdant coasts of Northeast Corfu. Its morphology is quite different from the beaches you will encounter along the way, as most are distinguished by their characteristic pebbles and the relatively cool waters, in contrast to the view you see as soon as you reach Kalamaki with the shallow and warm waters.

The beach is about one and a half kilometres long and its characteristic shallow waters allow you to walk over fifty meters into the sea and the water is still only up to your knees!

The wooden pier that starts from the beach Kalamaki and continues to the open sea helps those who want to reach deeper waters faster.

For explorers, boats depart from there to nearby secluded beaches, offering you fast food. The hospitable, sandy, serene, clean beach of Apraos invites the lovers of the calm sea and worshippers of the sun, creating unforgettable family moments with games on the sand.
