CulturePolis is participating in the “European Heritage Days,” where this year’s theme is titled: “Tracing Routes, Networks, and Connections in Cultural Heritage.”
Through an interpretive walk along the Cultural Route designed by our team, titled: “Arts, Letters, and Politics in the Old Town of Corfu,” we will follow the traces of the Venetians, the British, and the Ionian Islanders.
The aim of this activity is to connect the narratives of the past and create new ties in the present at points of interest such as: the San Giacomo Theater, the Mantzaros Philharmonic Society, the Ionian Academy, the “Phoinix” Theater, the Ionian Parliament, and the Ionian Bank’s Museum of Banknotes. Additionally, a 3D visualization of these points of interest will be used for more effective observation and interpretation.
At the end of the walk, participants will have the opportunity to learn about new ways to document narratives and evidence related to cultural heritage through citizen participation, presented via related CulturePolis projects.
Date: September 29 – The event will be conducted in Greek. Priority will be given to parents and children.
Start Time: 17:30
End Time: 19:30
Maximum Number of Participants: 20 people. Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis through the form. An email will be sent with information about the starting point of the walk.
