And when he says “introspective,” he means “self-referential.” And when he says “self-referential,” he means “egocentric.” Also, let’s not pretend—he’s writing this press release himself, so you can imagine how uncomfortable it feels to talk about himself in the third person. So, let’s switch to the first person, and I’ll tell you that I’m tired of being described as “the tall, bald comedian” and confused with other tall, bald comedians. I’m also tired of so many people not remembering my last name after all these years in comedy: they’ve called me “Dimitrakopoulos,” which kind of makes sense as a shortening of my first and last name.

I’ve been called “Dimakopoulos,” which is just a slightly butchered “Dimitrakopoulos.” I’m just waiting for someone to shorten it even more to “Delos” (Dilos), and soon there will be people asking, “Shall we go to Delos?” and I won’t know if they’re coming to the show or planning a vacation.
