The Museum Collections of the Ionian University, in collaboration with the National Gallery Annex in Corfu, are organizing the SLOW ART event once again.

On Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 12:30 PM, we invite you to the National Gallery Annex in Kato Korakiana for the SLOW ART event, which aims to enhance the quality of life by visiting the museum through the method of slow and focused observation of artworks, known as slow art.

We have selected works that address the theme of trauma, aiming to make the museum a safe space for reflective thinking and meaningful dialogue on human social and cultural experiences. These works are not only artistic creations but also mirrors of human experience, inviting us to explore emotions, challenges, and hopes drawn from life’s various moments.

How to get there
Location: Kastelino, Kato Korakiana

The Annex is located 14 kilometers from Corfu town, in the Kato Korakiana area, on the Corfu-Paleokastritsa National Road, heading towards Kassiopi and Dassia.

By Corfu City Bus: No. 7 Dassia (terminal stop: Katomeri). Departure point: Saroko Square, Corfu.
