Opening of the group art exhibition “Passages and Directions” at the Corfu Art Gallery

The Corfu Art Gallery presents the group art exhibition “Passages and Directions.”

Four female painters, Aspasia Sigourakou, Georgia Monastirioti, Greta Cappellemans, and Natasha Maneta, who have been active in the Corfu art scene for many years, are jointly showcasing their artistic creations in the temporary exhibition hall of the Corfu Art Gallery.

The upcoming exhibition will feature paintings, drawings, and collages that uniquely depict landscapes, human figures, flowers, and shapes through expressionist, abstract, and realistic forms.

As the exhibition title suggests, the artists aim to express the transience of things and moments, as well as the timeless elements that coexist within them.

“The timeless essence flows, capturing the potential temporality of the world. The passages of people are a rushing river, each passage a time, a history trying to legislate value systems. But humanity’s cell remembers and grows wild. The river of memory swells, overflows, and carves new paths. This is the Ode, creating life within death.”
    — Penelope Volterra
