On Thursday, December 26, 2024, the second day of Christmas, at 8:00 PM, the “Mantzaros” Philharmonic Band will hold its traditional Christmas Concert at the Municipal Theater of Corfu.

The program will feature various musical genres, promising to create a particularly festive atmosphere while keeping the audience’s interest high.

This year’s concert will include many beloved Viennese melodies as always, combined with beautiful songs from the famous animated film series Frozen.

The evening’s soloists are Elpida Zavitsianou (soprano), Pantelis Kontos (baritone), Marina Martinou (vocals), and FEM musician Eugenia Nika (xylophone).

The FEM Band will also collaborate with students from the FEM Youth Musical Theater School: Anastasia Perperidou, Natalia Vlachou, Ioanna Saini, Lorraine Tsirigoti, Fai Skiadopoulou, and Petros Graikos. Additionally, the Children’s Division of the FEM Melodramatic and Musical Theater School (taught and prepared by Elli Karydi) will participate.

Dancers from the “Danzarte” Dance School (choreography and instruction by Katerina Pagiataki) will also perform during the concert.

The musical direction will be led by the Deputy Conductor of the “Mantzaros” Philharmonic, Mr. Spyros Rouvas.

This concert is considered one of the major artistic events of the Christmas season, and we invite the public to enjoy it once again.

General admission is €10. Tickets will be on pre-sale starting Friday, December 13, 2024, at the Philharmonic building (23 Philharmonic Street) daily (except Saturday evenings and Sundays) from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM (on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM) as well as at the Municipal Theater two hours before the concert begins.
