This summer, the libraries of the Greek Library Network welcome their young friends, inviting them on an exciting journey of exploration… from Earth to the sky! This year, in the Summer Reading Campaign, we learn, think, and live within the vast universe. Together, we count the countless, explain the unexplained, and seek answers for everything we see around us and even for what we cannot see.

With the slogan “From Earth to the Sky: Learning, Thinking, Living…” and focusing on knowledge, science, culture, and humanity itself, this summer, local libraries transform into hives of exploration and creativity. They invite us on a journey, making our own tour of the world and unraveling the thread of life on the planet.

The 2024 Summer Reading and Creativity Campaign is organized by the National Library of Greece and is implemented thanks to the excellent collaboration between the NLG and the Laboratory of Pedagogical Applications and Production of Educational Material, Pedagogical Department of Primary Education, University of Athens (Director: Professor Konstantinos D. Malafantis).

Throughout the summer, libraries coordinate their activities, while young and old share their reading experiences on social media using the hashtags #ΚΕ2024gr and #forEBEr.
