The Corfu Society of Studies – Solomos Museum of Corfu is organizing Museum-Educational Interdisciplinary Activities for the August-September 2024 period, continuing its educational work.

This year’s activities are themed around the life and works of Andreas Kalvos, with a parallel narrative of the life and works of Dionysios Solomos. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with both poets and explore significant aspects of their journeys and era through arts and play.

The title of the activities is:

“Andreas Kalvos – Dionysios Solomos: An Interdisciplinary ‘Meeting’!”

The activities are divided into five individual sessions:

    • August 23 & 30: Activities for adults and children
    • August 29 & September 3: Activities for children aged 5 to 7

Time: 11:00 a.m. at the Solomos Museum of Corfu

Students participating in the actions as part of their internship include Maria Baladima from the Department of Archives, Library Science, and Museology, under the scientific supervision of Assistant Professor of Library Science, Sofia Stamou; Ioanna Ioannou and Eleana Melidi from the Department of Music Studies, under the scientific supervision of Professor of Music Pedagogy, Zoe Dionysiou.

The activities are coordinated and curated by the head curator of the Solomos Museum of Corfu, Nausica-Maria Fronimou.
