Peter and the Wolf, the classic beloved fairy tale by Sergei Prokofiev, will come to life once again on Friday, November 24th at 11:00 at the Municipal Theater of Corfu. The Corfu International Festival presents the musical fairy tale “Peter and the Wolf” by Sergei Prokofiev, performed by the “Pharos Wind Ensemble,” with actor Gerasimos Gennatas as the narrator, and simultaneous projection of an animated film directed by Suzie Templeton and designed by Marek Skrobecki. The film won the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film at the 80th Oscars. The “Pharos Wind Ensemble” was founded by top musicians from the National Opera, and since 2018, it has had several appearances in Athens and the provinces.
