    A folk rockstar extravaganza! The super band from Thessaloniki, which caused a sensation in the Athenian nights for 10 consecutive years, after popular demand, travels all over Greece to meet its audience!

    You’ll hear heart-wrenching songs, brass in frenzy, full-on hits, outrageous refrains, a rich folk program, and merciless love stories. Featuring: Enthusiastic fans, random folks, gate crashers who know someone at the door, dancers with psychological issues, God himself. Dress Code: Rhinestones are a must.

    During Polkar’s performance, women’s underwear is thrown in the air. A pair of men’s briefs may also be thrown for political correctness reasons.

    A few words about Polkar With music characterized as “festive Balkan,” Polkar started as the musical band of actor Giorgos Papageorgiou, alongside musician Yiannis Kyratsos. They got their name after a band trip to Serbia in 2013. In Slavic, “polkar” means “drunken dancer who sings off-key.” In their live shows, they aim to create an open musical-theatrical performance in interactive communication with the audience, effortlessly transitioning through all the musical genres that concern them.

    They were formed 10 years ago in Thessaloniki, using as their first material for their sound the heavy Balkan air and the glorious ’90s they grew up in the music hubs of Ano Ladadika.

    They have released two albums, titled “Everything Begins” and “4+1 Songs for Hugs,” featuring standout tracks like “Everything Begins,” “The Song of Good Marriage,” “Caribbean Girl,” “Love Me Tonight,” “The Bond” with the serenaders group “Troubadours of Old Athens,” “Athens,” and more. The song “My Life Sucks” was released independently as a solo project by Giorgos Papageorgiou in collaboration with Spyros Grammenos, receiving enthusiastic acceptance on YouTube.
