The Musical Soul of Corfu Unveiled with the Piano Recital of Nikos Lavassas

Corfu, with its rich musical tradition, welcomes the return of one of its most talented pianists, Nikos Lavassas. The young and charismatic pianist, a graduate of the Department of Music Studies at the Ionian University, returns to his artistic “birthplace” to present a piano recital at the Ionian Academy, promising to transport the audience through the enchanting melodies of the Classical and Romantic eras.

The recital will take place on Thursday, September 19th, at 7:30 PM, in the event hall of the Ionian Academy. Admission is free, offering music lovers the opportunity to enjoy a unique program.

Frederic Chopin: Preludes Nos. 13, 15, 16, 17
Franz Liszt: Transcendental Études Nos. 10, 11
Alexander Scriabin: Vers la flamme

Nikos Lavassas, having studied with great pianists such as Hideyo Harada, Claudio Curro Dossi, and Lampis Vassiliadis, brings the interpretive tradition of Viktor Merzhanov’s Russian School to the stage of Corfu. With skill and passion, he will perform works by Beethoven, Liszt, Chopin, and Scriabin, revealing the musical soul of the island.
