The International Festival of Corfu presents “The Youth of the Opera” on Friday, September 1st, at 21:00 in the People’s Garden. The opera gala concert featuring arias and ensembles from the classical lyrical repertoire is named after the educational program “The Youth of the Opera,” in which the evening’s soloists participated at the beginning of their professional careers.

“The Youth of the Opera” was initiated by the National Opera of Greece (NOG) with the main goal of providing young artists, who have completed their studies, with the opportunity to take their first professional steps and gain valuable experience in a real work environment under the guidance and supervision of established artists and professionals. The skills they acquired during their participation in this program have helped them become fully trained professionals, capable of meeting the contemporary demands of the Opera.

The concert gala features mezzo-soprano Anna Tselika, bass-baritone George Papadimitriou, tenor Christos Delizonas, soprano Eleni Komni, and pianist Spyros Souladakis.
