“My Brother Amandeus” by Minas Vidiadis with Pemi Zouni DIRECTED BY: Vana Pefani Corfu Municipal Theater Wednesday, April 10 & Thursday, April 11 at 21:00

“Virtuoso, talent, genius, wonder child.” With these words, a member of the Mozart family praised in the 1760s not Wolfgang Amadeus, but his sister Nannerl Mozart. It has been proven that one of the greatest composers learned music from her own compositions, while she herself was considered one of the best pianists in Europe. Together, they toured across Europe and experienced adulation as “wonder children.” Until the year Nannerl turned eighteen. According to the customs of the time, she was now of marriageable age. Thus, this great musician was pushed aside… The childhood years of Amandeus and Nannerl, their development, their relationship with their father, will be presented in a harmonious combination of Theater and Music, with Mozart’s melodies on the piano by Dionysis Mallouchos. The Lilian Voudouri Music Library at the Athens Concert Hall hosts a musical-theatrical adventure that speaks of canceled desires, sibling relationships, “talent,” and artistic arrogance, love, and loneliness. A deeply human story, known to few, that concerns all people, from adolescence to old age. The performance is held under the auspices and with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports. Corfu Municipal Theater Wednesday, April 10 & Thursday, April 11 at 21:00
