The Vox Nova troupe presents The Washing Machine by Thanasis Triaridis, returning this season to stir, move, and awaken audiences. This bold and intense work sheds light on a society of the future—a dystopian vision that leaves no one untouched. Directed and performed by Sofia Linospori and Konstantina Mavropoulou, with an original music score and sound design by Manthos Damigos and lighting design by Antonis Chondrogiannis.

Play Description by the Author: “Two women meet three times in a public laundromat. They talk about their children, online educational documentaries, and the formidable power of Evolution. Yet, the audience soon discovers there is also an Arena, public beheadings of girls broadcast live, a boy sharpening his axe, and the scent of pine in freshly washed clothes. A dystopian thriller about dominant Eugenics—and the crimes of good people waiting patiently for their laundry to finish.”
