The ‘Colorful Christmas Village’ in Northern Corfu, 17-30/12/2023

The ‘Colorful Christmas Village’ in the Municipality Square in Acharavi, Northern Corfu, is getting ready for its second year, bringing the enthusiasm and joy of the cultural associations of the Municipality, the Municipal Philharmonics, choirs, and dance groups to create even more magical and fairy-tale-like holidays.

Every day there will be different events, including animations, wooden horse rides, face painting, live music, and songs performed by musical groups from the area.

Started in 2022, the village filled with children’s voices, laughter, smiles, games, and wishes, making Christmas even warmer and more radiant! The Christmas Village is a colorful celebration, a small village that opens its arms wide to welcome all ages and offer moments of joy.

Artistic groups, associations, clubs, etc., have been invited, and anyone who wishes to participate by contributing entertainment activities, creative engagement, etc., is welcomed. The philosophy of the event is to convey the messages of Christmas: love, unity, culture, acceptance, and peace! Santa Claus will be the official guest this year as well.

Children and adults will have the opportunity to enter Santa’s house, talk to him, take photos, write their letters, and drop them into the big mailbox destined for the North Pole. A festive train will also roam around Acharavi, spreading the ‘Christmas spirit.’

The Municipality expresses gratitude to everyone supporting this celebration, the cultural associations, citizens, sponsors, and all the volunteers who will assist in the effort during the holiday season. All ages will find their place in the Christmas Village, where adults can also momentarily become children again!

Awaiting you in the square is the ‘Fairy Tale of Colorful Christmas,’ a celebration of entertainment and culture! ‘Workshop of Emotions’ with letters to Santa, ‘Colorful Figures’ with creative activities and creations, sweets, treats, and drinks.

Games, face painting, and crafts are waiting for our little friends for joyful play. Musical evenings will bring us in touch with art and tradition. Additionally, there will be an outdoor Christmas market with inspirational gift ideas for our loved ones during these festive days.

The ‘Colorful Christmas Village’ in the Municipality Square in Acharavi, the heart of the Municipality of Northern Corfu, will make our Municipality beat magically in the biggest celebration of the year, from Sunday, December 17, 2023, to December 30, 2023.
