Situated on the south east coast, approximately 16 kilometres from Corfu Town, this lovely beach, surrounded by lush green vegetation, is to be found.

For those looking for a quiet, tranquil setting away from bustling resorts and madding crowds, Agios Ioannis Peristeron Beach is ideal.

It is a long beach, stretching almost 2.5 kilometres, and has a combination of sand and small pebbles. It also has some very pretty little coves for those looking for privacy and solitude.

Agios Ioannis Peristeron derived its name from the local church of the same name.

Provisions and organization of Agios Ioannis Peristeron Beach

It is a partially organized beach with sunbeds and umbrellas for hire to one side only. The water is the most amazing shade of aquamarine, is crystal clear but quite deep in parts. Although suitable for families it is not a beach for small children

For thrill-seekers, there is the “Aqua Funtastic Watersports Park” which offers a wide selection of inflatable rides to get the adrenaline pumping.  Other activities are parasailing, skiing, jet skiing and scuba diving. The beach has a sandy fringe so lends itself to beach games too.

There are a number of picturesque, traditional tavernas which are right on the beach. Seafood and Traditional Greek and Corfiot cuisine are their specialities. Enjoy a refreshing beverage or delicious meal, on the water’s edge, while watching the sun set and listening to the waves lapping the shore line.

Accommodation and facilities of Agios Ioannis Peristeron Beach
