The Ionian University Gym will hold its first hike on Sunday, February 16, in the Nymfes area.

This is an easy route suitable for beginners.

The highlight of Nymfes is located just outside the village and is, of course, its waterfalls.

They are the most impressive waterfalls in Corfu, with water powerfully cascading from a height of 15 meters into a lush ravine.

We will also tour the beautiful village of Nymfes, which is surrounded by greenery.

At the end of the hike, we will cut our traditional cake.

Interested participants (students, academic, and administrative staff) can register during the program’s exercise hours with the responsible Physical Education instructors, Fotini Kokkinidou and Giorgos Notaropoulos.

Additionally, they can visit the University Gym Office after making an appointment with the hiking coordinator, Angeliki Mavropoulou (contact number: 6952012574).

Due to limited spots, a strict priority order will be followed.

For more information, please email: ioniogym@ionio.gr.

    Note:
For participants’ convenience, there will be a bus transporting us from Corfu’s Old Port to Nymfes for the hike’s starting point and back to Corfu after the hike.

The total cost for both routes is set at five (5) euros per student and seven (7) euros for academic and teaching staff.
