The beautiful, picturesque village called Drosato is built on the top of a hill, at an altitude of 120 meters and near to the very known points in the northern part of the island.

It is located close to the villages of Agios Stefanos and Valanio and many of the visitors of the island choose it as an alternative destination after visiting more touristic areas such as Sidari and Afionas where the popular beaches Canal D’amour and Porto Timoni 

The village of Drosato stands out for the colors of the facades of its houses, its buildings differentiated in architecture, the alleys, the main characteristic of the island of Corfu but also the care shown by the inhabitants in their village.

Its name as Drosato is much later. The village until 1955 was called “Malakioi”, while there are many who still call it that.

The perfect location for those who love nature and the combination of the sea with the lush landscapes, the low altitude mountains of the island, the traditional elements alongside the most organized tourist structures that exist on the island.

If you happen to be around this area, it is worth visiting the Monastery of Pantokrator, of the 17th century, located in the settlement of Agios Athanasios. The view from this point is amazing! Nearby popular destinations are Sidari, which hosts the world-famous Canal D’amour.
