The Blue Flag-awarded beach of Glyfada has much in common with the neighbouring beach of Kontogyalos, the two of which are located below Pelekas. From the quaint mountain village of Pelekas one follows the winding road, with stunning views, down to this beautiful beach.

Provisions and organization

Particularly well known for its facilities, it gives one the opportunity to indulge in numerous water sports, enjoy a coffee or drink at its beach bars, taste wonderful cuisine in its restaurants and tavernas, lie on its golden beach and cool off in its crystal clear waters.

A famous beach bar, “Pazuzu”, is extremely popular with locals and tourists alike. It attracts younger people with its great DJ selected, all-day dance music and cocktails. It also serves tasty meals and is ranked as one of the best beach bars on Corfu.

On the north side the beach is the secluded, unofficial, nudist beach of Myrtiotissa. On the way to the beach of Glyfada there is Aqualand, the largest water park on the island and a fully organized golf course.
